Slimline Bar Fridges: Narrow and Tall Upright Models Compared
When floor space is tight, a slimline bar fridge gives you storage by going up instead of out. These skinny uprights fit gaps beside benches, in garages and in games rooms where a wide fridge will not.
The narrowest models
The slimmest bar fridges in our range are the 160 litre skinny uprights:
- Dimensions: 390 mm wide, 475 mm deep and 1,880 mm high.
- Capacity: about 144 cans.
- 15 models: 7 from Cub, 6 from Schmick and 2 from Fuel, including a lockable version. See the Schmick SS-P160FA and the Cub SS-P160-GOLD.
- Ratings: all 15 are tropical rated with a 9 star energy rating, and sound ratings run from 38 to 43 dB.
For a smaller slim option, the Schmick PG-65A is a 65 litre glass door model measuring 445 x 445 x 960 mm.
Taller, wider uprights
If you need more capacity, the upright range goes further:
- 293 litres: the Rhino SGT1 models, 600 x 515 x 1,820 mm.
- 370 litres: the Schmick HUS-SC372B, 615 x 640 x 1,940 mm.
- 440 litres: the Schmick SK422 models, 595 x 586 x 1,996 mm.

Where a slimline fridge fits
- Beside a bench or in a narrow gap in an entertaining area.
- In a garage, games room or man cave.
- In a small bar where you want height rather than width.
Things to check
- Measure the height and the ceiling clearance, and allow for ventilation.
- Check doorways and stairs on the way in for the taller models.
- Make sure the floor is level so the fridge stands steady.
- Leave space around it as the manufacturer specifies.

Choosing between sizes
The 160 litre skinny uprights suit narrow gaps, while the larger uprights, from 293 to 440 litres, suit people who want more capacity and have the floor space. If you are unsure, compare the width, depth and height with the space you have, and allow for the ventilation clearance.
Finishing touches
Decide whether you want a glass door to display drinks, a branded design or a lockable door. A lockable 160 litre model is available, and branded designs come in several beer brands. If you are matching dark cabinetry, see our black bar fridge guide.
